Spicy Mango Habanero Jam

Sweet mangoes meet fiery habanero peppers in this jam with a kick. It’s excellent with cream cheese, grilled meats or as a glaze for shrimp skewers.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups diced mango
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1–2 habanero peppers, seeded and finely minced
  • 2 tbsp lime juice

Instructions

  1. Combine mango, sugar and lime juice in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  2. Add minced habanero and reduce heat; simmer until mango softens and jam thickens.
  3. Adjust heat level by adding more or less pepper.
  4. Ladle jam into sterilized jars, leaving 1/4-inch headspace. Seal.
  5. Process in a boiling-water bath for 10 minutes. Cool and store.

Serve this jam with grilled chicken or over soft cheese. It’s a spicy-sweet treat for heat lovers.
