Blueberry Maple Spread
Blueberries and maple syrup create a rich spread that’s less sweet than typical jams. It’s perfect for breakfast and brunch dishes.
Ingredients
- 4 cups blueberries
- 1 cup maple syrup
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Mix blueberries, maple syrup, sugar and lemon juice in a saucepan.
- Bring to a boil and cook until berries burst and mixture thickens.
- Use a potato masher for a chunky texture or puree for smooth consistency.
- Fill sterilized jars, leaving 1/4-inch headspace, wipe rims and cap.
- Process in boiling water for 10 minutes. Cool and store.
Spread this on pancakes, waffles or fold it into muffin batter for a maple-blueberry twist.
