Avocado Toast

Avocado Toast

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 2 slices of your favorite bread (sourdough, whole wheat, or gluten-free)
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: cherry tomatoes, red pepper flakes, poached egg, or feta cheese

  1. Toast the Bread: Toast your bread slices to your desired level of crispiness.
  2. Prepare the Avocado: Cut the ripe avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
  3. Mash the Avocado: Use a fork to mash the avocado until it reaches your preferred level of creaminess. You can leave it slightly chunky or make it completely smooth.
  4. Add Seasonings: Squeeze the garlic clove into the mashed avocado. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Mix well to combine.
  5. Assemble: Spread the avocado mixture evenly onto your toasted bread slices.
  6. Optional Toppings: Customize your avocado toast with your favorite toppings. Try adding sliced cherry tomatoes, a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for heat, a poached egg for extra protein, or some crumbled feta cheese for added flavor.
  7. Serve: Enjoy your avocado toast immediately as a nutritious breakfast, brunch, or snack!

Avocado toast is not only delicious but also highly customizable, making it a versatile dish suitable for any meal of the day.
